This position is primarily responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the sales team in their assigned department, in order to maintain a high level of customer service, in accordance with Sears standards. This involves: • providing supervision, coaching/training, recruitment, scheduling, monitoring activities, and participating in performance assessment of sales staff; • performing a variety of sales/customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction; • developing and maintaining a high level of product knowledge pertaining to merchandise in designated department; and • monitoring and maintaining the sales floor for the department, including inventory control, correct ticketing, accuracy of promotional signing/merchandise, etc. Success in this role calls for strong customer service and supervisory/leadership skills. The ideal job candidate will have some experience in a Sales Associate role.
