On Campus Mission Statement The mission of On Campus is to provide the opportunity for individuals who have been labeled developmentally disabled to participate in an adult continuing education program at the University of Alberta. The focus of the program is inclusion in both formal and informal University settings. This provides the opportunities to develop friendships/relationships, meaningful experiences, increased self esteem and employment potential. The development of these based on individual choice will lead to increased personal supports. Based on the principle of social role valorization and integration/inclusion On Campus will provide post secondary educational program for adults with moderate/severe developmental disabilities at the University of Alberta. It will ensure the provision of enriching educational experiences in order to promote personal and career achievements.
