Extend your career in the grain industry. North East Terminal Limited (NET), a successful grain company, seeks an experience Grain Marketing and Logistics Manager to join their team. They seek an energetic, hard-working individual who pursues opportunities.

Do you have the skill to work with your staff to develop the plans to source grain from area producers and then work to ensure the terminal is operating at maximum efficiency?

Use your experience to develop a strategic bin plan for the terminal, ensuring a consistent supply of grain. You will know the acreage seeded in your community and the crops harvested based on input from your staff. Your organizational and logistical expertise will be challenged on a regular basis. Your strong negotiation skills are needed either in the office or in the field.

Quality performance is key to the success of this terminal. Budgets are set based on your input and the department’s performance will be evaluated based on the timely execution of purchase and sales contracts. Your familiarity with all CWB and non-CWB marketing plans will allow you to design and deliver contracting opportunities to your customers.

To be considered for this opportunity, you:
- Demonstrate basic business and supervisory principles including planning, coaching, and people management.
- Have proven verbal and written communication skills combined with excellent observation and listening skills.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- Have specialized knowledge of grain marketing and risk management with an in-depth knowledge of the grain industry, grain futures, options, market fundamentals, grain contracting alternatives, and individual customer grain marketing planning.
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural production and farm management
- Strong sales aptitude and experience
- Are willing to relocate

It would be beneficial if you possessed:
- Related post-secondary education or training (Bachelor of Science - Agriculture) and five (5) years related experience.
- Deep understanding of farm customer’s needs

North East Terminal is offering a generous base salary of $60,000 annual plus additional variable income of up to $15,000. They offer full health and dental benefits plus a 4% matching RRSP program, and a LSVCC investment opportunity.

Willing to commit to 40 hours/week with no shift work? Like the idea of an 8:00 to 5:00 schedule in a community surrounded by lakes? Seasonally you may be required to put in extra time assisting grain operations and crop inputs during the seeding and harvest seasons.
