| Agronomy Specialist Be part of a dynamic team within a steadily growing business! North East Terminal is a well-established grain terminal in East Central Saskatchewan. We are seeking an Agronomist to join our company. The successful candidate will be looking to develop their skills and experience in the crop input business. North East Terminal is not seeking a salesperson; they are looking for an expert to join their team. Become the ‘go-to’ person in Wadena, SK! You will be asked to provide specific agronomic services to area producers on a fee-for-service basis and to be a resource for agronomic advice to the sales staff. Responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to: - Consult with new and existing clients to develop a specific crop care plan for their operation. - Provide recommendations regarding farm (crop) planning in relation to rotation, disease, insects, etc. - Perform field visits to check for disease and insects - Soil Testing and Analysis - Tissue Testing - Mentoring and training of summer students To be considered, you have: - Exceptional communication skills - A strong background in the agricultural industry is necessary. - Self-motivation, enthusiasm with a positive attitude, and a strong desire to achieve. - A minimum designation as a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) is required with three (3) years related experience. - Ability to properly identify problems and provide a solution with the confidence to stand behind your recommendation. - Knowledge of technical advances related to farming’ - Ability to work with little supervision in a detailed, organized manner - Confidence operating and using computer software programs. - Willingness to work extended hours during peak times Compensation will be depending on 'fit', experience, and qualifications for the position.
