Intermediate Accountant Key Responsibilities: • To fulfill A/R, A/P and G/L duties including billing, collections, invoice and payment processing, month-end reporting and analysis of financial statements, account reconciliations and other ad hoc duties delegated by the Controller. • Reconciliations, financial statement preparation, statistical data, assisting with budget preparation, business plans and forecasting. • Reviewing general ledger accounts, posting journal entries and accruals, performing account analysis and reconciliations. • The Intermediate Accountant will also take on ad-hoc projects as they arise, including generating accurate and timely divisional financial statements, maintaining the fixed-asset schedules and inventory analysis. • You will also analyzing trends to report to senior management, as well as handle general accounting functions. • Full-cycle accounting with indirect/direct tax knowledge is an asset. Experience: • Three to five year's relevant experience, knowledge of Word, Outlook and Business Vision, Quickbooks, the ability to solve problems, ability to meet tight deadlines. • Must have extremely strong Excel skills whereby financial models and easy-to-use templates are created with complex formulas to drive automated results. • Must have excellent practical written and verbal knowledge of English, be resourceful, independent, have team spirit and focus on results. • self-starter attitude and will thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. A 9a.m to 5p.m. worker need not apply. Education: • Degree in business administration/commerce. • In the process or completed CMA/CGA designation.
