| Materials and Services Coordinator Lethbridge is one of the warmest and most sun-filled locations in Canada. Our affordable, vibrant community of over 81,000 is only two hours south of Calgary and is close to mountains and the U.S. border. Our Facility Services Department is responsible for 272 buildings with diverse mechanical, electrical and architectural systems. Our Facility Services Department has a permanent opening for a: Materials and Services Coordinator We are looking for an action-oriented, technical expert, who will ensure we have the materials and the service levels we need to maintain excellent facilities. As the Materials and Services Coordinator you will: • Establish and coordinate the service contracts for the facilities maintenance team • Purchase a wide variety of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) goods and establish delivery times to the facilities according to job order priorities • Work with vendors on a daily basis and will maintain excellent working relationships • Establish and maintain a stock item inventory for preventive and predictive maintenance • Establish a vendor inventory contract program • Coordinate the set-up and ongoing development of the computerized work management system (JD Edwards) • Complete requisitions, purchase orders and maintain the appropriate documentation • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with products or service contracts in an expeditious manner • Work closely with the Planner Scheduler and Facilities Technician to ensure we are providing exceptional customer service We are looking for candidates with: • College / University Degree / a Trades designation or Technologist’s Diploma • PMAC designation or working towards completion of certification • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a plant maintenance environment • Solid knowledge of procurement principles and best practices • Working knowledge of computerized work and maintenance management systems as well as Microsoft Office and the Internet • Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills • A demonstrated ability to build effective business relationships • Strong coordination and prioritizations skills • A desire to continuously improve processes and who are not afraid of a challenge The rate of pay for this position is $29.65/hr.
