| Financial Reporting Analyst - Mining Join the leader! Our client is one of the world's largest publicly-traded mining companies and is actively seeking a strong Senior Accountant for the role of Financial Reporting Analyst . Responsibilities: - Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual corporate accounting records - Prepare the monthly statutory financial statements for the corporate legal entities - Work closely with the tax group to ensure all corporate reorganizations are appropriately reflected in the financial statements - Perform monthly and quarterly consolidation of the Canadian legal entities - Ensure the inter-company accounts are confirmed and reconciled monthly - Accounting for marketable securities/investments and related mark-to-market adjustments - Supervision of the accounts payable department - Support others with the timely, accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements; preparation of board materials; MD&A etc. Qualifications: - A recognized accounting designation CA, CGA or CMA - Experience in public accounting a definite asset - Strong technical accounting skills including currency in Canadian GAAP - Self-starter with strong attention to detail that works well both independently and as a team - Consolidation experience required - Experience with ERP systems i.e. SAP; Khalix consolidation software; Navision and strong computer skills, including Excel - Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills - Second languages desired, or desire to learn – Spanish (reading, written and spoken) - Experience in large corporate environments and mining experience is preferred If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume and a brief note explaining your interest and qualifications to: Cliff Kanto, and put Financial Reporting Analyst in the subject line.
