Accounting Manager

There is a FULL-TIME opportunity of Accounting Manager available in Downtown, Vancouver.

Reporting to the Controller the KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include:

- Trainer and supervise Property Accountants
- Reviews journal entries, monthly financial statements, budgets, working papers, analysis of rent
- Ensures the training of staff, reviewing of reports, collecting of rent and distribution of reports is completed in a timely fashion

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

- Professional accounting designation with 5 years related experience in a real estate or property management environment
- Ability to monitor staff performance and meet deadlines
- Logical and analytical approach to problem solving; ability to establish objectives and set priorities
- Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures (GAAP)
- Knowledge of CTI Financial System, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes (MS Office)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Team player
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
