Our client, a leader in the Enviro-Manufacturing space is seeking a self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of issues and be proactive with finding solutions. This individual will have the right blend of skills, experience, and attitude to fill this important role and to carry the responsibility of ongoing accounting and financial reporting duties. Reporting to the Corporate Controller the Assistant Corporate Controller will be responsible in:

- Assisting in the planning, coordination and execution of all company annual audit and quarterly reviews as required with external auditors.
- Assisting in preparation of all financial statements for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Assisting in the responsibility for all financial system implementation, maintenance, updates and internal controls to facilitate the accurate and timely completion of financial reporting.
- Assisting in the supervision, training, mentoring of all staff responsible for the functions of general accounting, invoicing, credit and collections, payroll, located within all subsidiaries and operating locations of the company.
- Assisting with the coordination of all subsidiary reporting, accounting practices, and record keeping required for audit, internal control and regulatory processes required to enable accurate and timely completion of financial statement and results reporting.
- Assisting in the maintenance of the documentation of internal controls and testing thereof to meet regulated and internal standards required of a Canadian public company and of other jurisdictions as the company's securities become traded in those jurisdictions.
- Participate and facilitate the financial information sharing requirements with staff responsible for forecasting, budgeting, human resources, cost accounting, and treasury functions.
- Risk management including general corporate insurance and required workers compensation and other regulated employee related requirements.
- Helping with the planning, filing and payment of all taxes on a timely basis, including corporate, commercial, sales, foreign jurisdiction franchise and payroll taxes.
- Helping to ensure the implementation of new financial reporting and other business systems meet the company’s financial reporting, accounting, and cost accounting requirements.
