SAP Business Analyst:HR

Position Title: SAP Business Analyst –HR/Payroll
Role Overview
Responsible for identifying and developing SAP solutions by adopting best practices to support evolving business requirements, ensuring current system supports the day to day business activities, and ensuring the effective application of SAP knowledge combined with communication with users and technical staff.

Primary Functions
Business System Application Development/Implementation:
o May serve as a project leader. Responsibilities include - work assignment, supervising activities of others, project planning and scheduling in consultation with appropriate stakeholders
o Formulate business requirements, scope and objectives, and devise solutions to satisfy the information needs.
o May involve:
 a) interview customers to establish and document business application requirements
 b) investigate potential solutions not readily available
 c) build business justifications to support approval of recommended SAP solutions
 d) prepare detailed system and solution specifications
 e) participate actively in the implementation of the solution
 f) formulate/co-ordinate system testing/implementation strategies with stakeholders
 g) participate in user training as required
System Application Support
o Monitor/co-ordinate modifications to the SAP system
o Be aware of non-SAP applications interfacing to SAP

Education/Experience
University degree and/or College Diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent IT experience
Minimum 5 years experience with SAP software
Minimum 2 years experience with relevant SAP modules
Knowledge and experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle

Working Environment
Primarily works within an office environment
Working hours: some flexibility to work outside core hours at certain times during implementation or special projects, and emergency support
Flexibility to carry a phone or pager
