| Staffing Specialist Job Title: Staffing Specialist Wage: Negotiable Employee Type: Full Time Hours of Work: 7:00am - 3:30pm Pillar Recruitment Group Inc. has just celebrated a very successful year and we are looking to continue our growth throughout 2008. As a recruitment company that specializes in staffing of permanent, contract and temporary workers, representing leading companies and top performers, we are continuously looking to expand our team. Currently we are looking to add a full time, enthusiastic individual to join our team in providing outstanding customer service in our North York office. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: As a Staffing Specialist you will be responsible for the recruitment, selection, marketing and placement of temporary, contract and permanent positions of high caliber candidates, for all levels of office and general labour. The main focus is targeted on the placement of industrial division candidates across a varied array of environments and companies. The ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team and to be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment is imperative. 1. Contribute to the efficient and harmonious office environment while promoting positive intradistrict communication and interaction with district personnel 2. Efficient pre-screening (to ensure minimum standards), recruiting, registering and reference checking of applicants. Recruiting includes advertising and posting position, asking for employee referrals and any other effective means of attracting qualified candidates for available and anticipated positions 3. Attracting external candidates through the utilization of creative sourcing strategies including the internet, employee referrals and networking to ensure a quality applicant pool 4. Taking/filling requests for employers and permanent placements. This includes obtaining an accurate work description for the client, time and place of work and anticipated length of assignment 5. Perform routine office, secretarial and clerical duties as assigned 6. Practice positive telephone etiquette, take reliable messages, route calls to department personnel and perform all other necessary routine work activities 7. Work under general supervision and rely on experience and judgement to plan, accomplish tasks and meet established goals EDUCATION: • High school diploma or equivalent • College/University (HR) preferred • Computer training SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES: • Ability to communicate effectively and work with a variety of individuals • Effective interpersonal skills; proven analytical/problem solving abilities, attention to detail; and time management skills • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to execute quickly and efficiently • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word processing documents (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint etc) • Team oriented with the ability to flex in support of the work style, timelines and deliverables of team members • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion • Drive to deliver results, take accountability and ownership of work and strive for continuous improvement • Ability to understand and manage competing priorities and expectations of business partners and provide a high level of customer satisfaction in an ever changing environment • Excellent command of written and spoken English • Ability to use copier, fax machine and multifunction telephone system WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
