MANAGER OF FIRST NATIONS, METIS AND INUIT (FNMI)

This position is a key member of the Learner Services Team for the College. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and enhancing academic and support services for prospective, new and continuing FNMI learners under the guidance of the FNMI Framework Policy. The Manager of FNMI Education Services role involves working closely with College faculty and staff ensuring that open and respectful communication amongst College departments and divisions so that the FNMI learners’ needs are best served. The successful candidate will support the President in working with the President’s FNMI Advisory Council for Lethbridge College.The Manager of FNMI will provide institutional leadership in the areas of: Academic and Learner Services, Cultural Development, College Representation, Financial Planning and Reporting Relationships.

Qualifications: A Masters degree is preferred with five (5) years of related experience within a post-secondary institution. Undergraduate degree in a related field and experience in a leadership role is required. An excellent understanding of diverse FNMI cultures and the ability to speak and understand Blackfoot is an asset.
