| MATH/COMPUTER APPLICATIONS INSTRUCTOR The Lethbridge College has an exciting full-time instructor position available in the Centre for Applied Arts and Sciences. The successful candidate will provide students with computer application training in a variety of office applications and math instruction ranging from basic algebra to calculus topics involving differential and integral calculus and differential equations. The candidate must possess the following course qualifications: Mathematics – The candidate requires a background in statistics, college algebra and trigonometry and calculus and differential equations. Emphasis will be on problem solving and applying math to engineering applications. Knowledge of spreadsheets and math software programs such as MathLab would also be an asset. Computer Applications – The candidate requires competence in the programs that make up the current version of Microsoft office suite including spreadsheets, word processors, database and presentation software. Physics – The candidate requires a background in introductory physics including kinematics, work and energy, simple machines, waves and vibrations with an emphasis on how these principles are used in survey and remote sensing. Qualifications: Must have a Masters of Science in related area. Applicants should have previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level with supporting teaching evaluations, good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented organization.
