| Development Engineering Coordinator The Opportunity: Development Engineering Coordinator, a member of the Development Engineering Division of the Engineering Services Department. This is a full-time permanent position for a capable and skillful person who enjoys and is adept with handling multiple priorities and interactions with a variety of contacts and customers, is an exemplary communicator, and likes to be a consultant to others. The Work: Management of Service Agreement processes and related accounting for developments within the City of Grande Prairie; verification of levies, securities, schedules and terms and conditions for Service Agreements; handling all related inquiries from other staff, developers and the public. The Coordinator tracks and reconciles monies, prepares report, statistics and legal agreements as required, and maintains accurate records in appropriate database and information systems. At times, the Coordinator works with assigning civic addresses, updating WEB pages, and helping out with other administrative functions. What the Successful Candidate brings: A minimum of three years recent and relevant experience, and successful completion of a post secondary Diploma in Business Administration or related area of study; and additional training in data-base development. We appreciate that every applicant is individual so if you have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, it will be considered. Completion of the Alberta Land Use Planning Certificate and/or experience with municipal legislation would be a definite asset! Success in this position requires the ability to work independently under firm deadlines while handling multiple projects/processes. Significant communication with internal contacts, developers and the public requires tact and discretion and effective verbal and written communication skills. Sharp analytical skills, problem solving ability, and an ability to use creativity to identify and recommend alternative solutions are also key abilities required in this role. Ability to use the full MS Office suite, with emphasis on Access database, and numeracy skills for performing calculations are used daily in this role.
