Turtle island staffing is currently recruiting a temporary project administrator for future employment with in the federal government

Requirements
• Bilingual
• Secret security clearance
• Experience in establishing an Emergency Management Office/Operation Centre/High Volume Call Centre
• Minimum 5 years experience in managing national scale projects
• Experience in managing multi-million projects in the federal government
• Experience in providing costing information for Treasury Board submissions
• Experience in coordinating and chairing steering committee meetings
• Experience in interfacing with multiple government departments at senior level

Assets
• Knowledge of Government of Canada contracting policies and procedures
• Experience in gathering and integrating requirements of multiple stakeholders

Duties
• Provide a focal point for communications and the resolution of problems between client groups, departmental functional groups, project managers at PWGSC, contractors and suppliers for specific project plans.
• This management activity supports the various functional Project Leaders and acts as the client focal point specifically he/she will track activities on a regular basis, prepare reports required for the Steering Committee, including the progress of the work being done (Project Status Reports), the status of deliverables-in-progress, in relation to the detailed plan that was established, the status of deliverables that have been approved and issues that have arisen;
• Oversee the delivery of the project by performing day to day project management and overall activity coordination by providing general direction to the project team;
• In conjunction with project resources develop and maintain a project schedule;
• Supports the preparation a class “B” estimate prior to implementation
• Tracks budget spending and prepares regular financial reports to provide an accurate account of all project costs;
• Manage and monitor the consultant services if applicable;
• Obtain all necessary sign-offs and approvals;
• Prepare a scope of work for consulting services if required
• Take necessary actions to engage the services of consultants
