Program Co-ordinator (Nunavut)

“DreamCatcher Nunavut” is looking for an experienced, passionate leader to manage our e-mentoring programs in Nunavut. Join our team for a rewarding job in your community. This person will:

-Promote the program to Nunavut schools, teachers, community leaders.
-Foster relationships and network with stakeholders.
-Recruit teachers, schools, students, and mentors.
-Manage and administer mentorship database.
-Facilitate mentor reference checks and screening.
-Create, update and revise program-related documents.
-Liaise with teachers and mentors to ensure proper program delivery.
-Train teachers and mentors on program logistics.
-Report to Board of Directors on program and progress.

Job Requirements:
-Demonstrated passion for not-for-profit and/or charitable organizations.
-University degree or college diploma.
-Experience in project management, leadership, or entrepreneurial initiatives.
-Strong presentation, oral and written communication abilities
-Results-driven, confident and persistent
-Energetic, articulate and well-organized
-Strong focus on quality and delivery of services
-Excellent follow-through and execution skills
-Self-driven without direct supervision
-Experience in education would be an asset
-Able to work from home office with internet access.
-Work 5-10 hours/week from Sept-Nov 2008 and Mar-June 2009. Seasonal contract.
