| Director of Operation (Electronic Contract Manufacturing) Position summary: The Director of Operations will effectively manage the manpower and production process within a contract manufacturing environment and achieve the objectives of the company. Essential functions: • Manage a team of production and test personnel. • Manage the inspection, repair and test of customer returns including the associated documentation. • Ensure that sufficient qualified and trained workers are on site as required to accomplish the schedule workload, and to react quickly to adjust excess personnel as and when the workload diminishes. • Ensure that safety standards are followed. • Ensure that all machinery, equipment and rolling stock is well maintained and in safe proper working order. • Provide al required production and distribution reports paperwork, correctly filled out and completed on time. • Supervise the daily activities of the department supervisors. • Oversee the management of scheduling, the workload and needs of the employees, and to properly interpret. • Collaborate with the quality assurance department to ensure that all equipment, workmanship standard, products, work process meet our predetermined quality requirements. • Work in close collaboration with the sales department to achieve on-time delivery of all products. • Work in collaboration with the procurement department to ensure adequate stocks of material and supplies to complete the orders on hand. • Continually aware of the order status and the order backlog for the department and work closely with the buyers to eliminate the backlog as quickly as possible. • Operate and schedule the department to ensure the least waste of material, time and energy and that the lowest number of personnel is maintained to adequately perform the required work. • Ensure on-time delivery of the finished product is in accordance with the customers’ demands. • Ensure that all returned defects are handled in accordance with the procedures outlined in the QA manual. • Provide adequate and efficient storage areas and racking for all materials and finished product optimize the use of available space. • Provide technical assistance to customers when called upon to do so. • Report to superiors all problem areas that might impede the proper carrying out of assigned duties. • Other tasks and assignments as requested by superiors. | |
