Business Contingency Planning / Network Security Analyst Our client, a large government agency located in downtown Toronto, requires a Business Contingency Planning / Network Security Analyst. This is a 3-month contract position with the opportunity to convert to a permanent role. Reporting to the Manager of Information Network Security, the selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing critical business functions and defining the scope and impact of disaster and vulnerability scenarios. This is a progressive role intended to transition into a senior management position with full responsibility for all domains of information network security. We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience: knowledge of the ISO 17799 standard, with emphasis on business contingency planning and telecommunications and network security; experience monitoring to identify vulnerabilities; change management experience as it applies to application, development, and support; a solid understanding of IT Systems Architecture from a roles and responsibilities perspective; exposure to network systems protocols; excellent communication skills; the ability to document business continuity and disaster recovery procedures; experience making presentations and recommendations to senior management; and project management experience using MS Project or MS Visio. Although not required, CISSP certification is a definite asset.
