| Systems Performance Architect Our client requires a Systems Performance Architect for a six to eight week contract position in downtown Toronto. The selected candidate will apply their performance engineering experience to develop a strategy to evaluate and identify both software and hardware issues and their impact on overall systems performance. In addition, through testing and analysis the Systems Performance Architect will determine how the number of users effects system operation and will determine the scalability impact for future growth. Specific responsibilities include: identifying software performance issues and their impact on hardware resources; working with the development team to resolve any performance level issues; reviewing application architecture and topology; defining test objectives to determine break points; defining a workload model; building and executing load stress testing scripts and monitoring components; and producing test strategy and recommendations. We are looking for a candidate with a degree in computer science or software engineering and at least three years of experience in performance engineering for enterprise products. The selected candidate will have a solid understanding of web architectures, computer configuration hardware, and memory management and will have experience with collection and analysis of performance related data and modeling web application usage. Advanced experience with the following is also required: Windows 2003; SQL Server; Database architecture; Worker Threads Model; ActiveState's PerlEx; and ASP.NET. Finally, the candidate will have experience CGI scripting using Perl. | |
