| ECTL Designer Our client has an immediate need for an ECTL Designer. The ECTL Designer specializes in designing the processes and integration of these processes. The project is 6 months long and is located in downtown Toronto. Ensuring all ETL requirements are met at the client site; setting up technical environments on a customer platform; contributing and participating in all data mapping meetings; performing the work to map the client's data to target tables; loading client data into the database; participating in test plans; supporting the Business Analysis / Industry Consultant investigation into data issues; supporting training the client technical staff on ETL knowledge transfer; supporting the integration of the application into the customer's production environment, including batch scheduling, recovery, restart, and backups; providing input to bi-monthly client technical status; and communicating all issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner. We are looking for a Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science and five years of technical experience in software development and three years as a lead ETL Developer. The right candidate for this role will have datawarehouse RDBMS experience and a strong technical background with the following: DataStage PX (EE); UNIX-based Client Service Architecture; UNIX; Shell Scripts; SQL; and Mainframe experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Teradata DW, Teradata tools and utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, FastExport, and MultiLoad), and Teradata Manager tools (WinDDI, PMON). | |
