Job Description – Forklift Operator/Counter, Tea Operation

Duties and Responsibilities

• Calculate and confirm quantities as per cycle count sheets
• Verify the accuracy of our perpetual inventory quantities on a daily basis by cycle counting items in our warehouse
• Documents quantity, quality, type and value of materials or product, in order to maintain shipping, receiving and production records and files
• Physical investigation of discrepancies of various items
• Count or estimate quantities of materials, parts or products received or shipped
• Maintain clean and safe work environment at all times
• Compare product labels, tags or tickets, shipping manifest, purchase orders and bill of lading to verify accuracy of shipment contents and quantity specifications
• Use of a pump truck, walkie, Raymond Reach & Counter Balance on a regular basis to meet quantity and quality targets
• Receive and unload supplies from trailer or other designated area.
• Match appropriate paperwork with supplies and put away to correct location.
• Load finished product onto trailers or other designated area.
• Sort empty and damaged pallets for storage or removal.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment at all times – use appropriate cleaning supplies.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Report all injuries to Supervisor immediately.
• Complete all other tasks/duties as assigned by the Supervisor.



Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Minimum one year warehouse experience
• Must be certified forklift operator (Raymond Reach and Counter Balance).
• Basic math and accurate documentation skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably.
• Experience with RF Scanner system
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to read and write English at an intermediate level
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision


Working Conditions

• Standard warehouse environment in food industry.
• Required uniform includes hairnet and/or beard guard, appropriate footwear, and smock.
• Good personal hygiene is expected and jewelry is not permitted.
