Floorhand -Oil & Gas Well Servicing

Savanna Well Servicing is seeking experienced Floorhands with service rig experience, for the maintenance of well servicing rigs.

Floorhand Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform assigned tasks safely, efficiently and within the parameters of company policies.
- Utilize tongs to connect and disconnect drill pipe as it is being lowered or raised.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Assist other members of the well servicing crew as needed.
- Cleaning, scrubbing and painting the rig floor and rig in general.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- ability to work safely and plan ahead
- ability to work in a team setting
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow directions and comply with company guidelines


Education and Experience:

- 6 months to 1 year experience working on the floor of a well servicing rig
- Ability to run tongs without hands on direction
- Floorhand Competency Certification (preferable)


Applicants must have a Valid Driver's License; Airbrake Endorsement an asset, as well as H2S Alive and Standard First Aid/CPR Safety Tickets.

CLASS 1 or 3 DRIVER'S LICENSE PREFERRED, but will consider providing training for individuals with a Class 5 license to acquire a Class 3 license.
