| Supply Chain - Buyer Our client is one of the fastest growing companies in the Northwest Territories, and they looking for you. They are booming, Young, and Diverse. Put some traction into your career. They are seeking a qualified individual to manage and perform purchasing, material estimating, store setup. Position requires competencies in managing competing priorities and deadlines for large quote/bid packages, price reductions, and day-to-day management of supply chain. Communicates progress on projects frequently and effectively to appropriate individuals. (i.e., Customer, vendor, team members, etc.) Collates and prepares cost estimates in specified proposal formats and ensures proposal data is current, complete and accurate. Specific Responsibilities: Authorizes and issues purchase orders for all purchases Negotiates with Suppliers to obtain the best price and terms Manages all tender packages from preparing submissions, purchasing, receiving, crating, delivery. Ensures all inventories are maintained at appropriate levels to respond to customer demands and trends Estimates product requirements and take-offs from blueprints Prepares and manages merchandising plans for store setups The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience to step into the position with minimal training and supervision. Qualifications At least 3 years experience as a Buyer in building supplies and industrial products environment. Ability to read blueprints Tender experience Estimating experience Strong organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Excellent computer skills (I e excel, word, email) Experience with store setup and merchandising Team member and player Must be flexible and dependable to work high-paced, dynamic environment. The position is located in Hay River, NWT and excellent salary; bonus and benefits will be paid to the right candidate, including relocation. | |
