Business Analyst

Donna Cona is seeking a Business Analyst to develop UML models. Initial contract term is 6 months.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 5 years Business Systems Analysis experience

• Degree or diploma in computer technology

Required Competencies

• Ability to conduct business systems analysis and design, data modeling, process flow modeling, and process reengineering

• Understanding of, and ability to utilize, UML notation

• Ability to prepare business cases including cost benefit analysis for proposed processes

• Ability to design and execute systems tests

• Have clear oral and written communication skills appropriate to all levels of management and clients

• Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Analyzes business processes and reviews existing information systems

• Interviews users

• Maps existing business processes

• Participates in the design of new systems that support business processes

• Reviews new systems designs and functions

• Designs system modifications

• Designs interfaces to other systems

• Identifies reporting requirements

• Identifies data, interfaces and tests requirements

• Develops and executes systems and acceptance test scripts and procedures

• Designs training materials

• Prepares business cases including cost/benefit analysis for proposed processes
