| Food & Beverage Server Key Responsibilities: •Provide phenomenal guest experiences resulting in lasting memories for our guests. •Understand and model the Service Plus Code in their daily work environment. •Have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the history and heritage of the Banff Springs Hotel. •Display professional behavior, integrity, pride and loyalty to the Hotel and it’s team. •Ensure their work place including staff housing, reflects the culture of a safe, secure and healthy environment. •Dedicate and commit to making the Hotel a leader in environmental stewardship. •Understand both the restaurant’s and the hotel’s financial goals to achieve superior long-term financial returns to our shareholders. •Actively participate in ongoing learning opportunities and enhancing their skills, abilities and professionalism for personal growth. Preferred Knowledge & Experience: •A minimum of 1 year experience in fine-dining restaurant •Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an asset. •Must have sincere desire to exceed guest expectations •A passion for food & wine •The ability to work well under pressure, and high energy and self-motivation required. •Must be a team player and demonstrate organizational skills. •Must be interested in continuous learning to enable future successes and personal growth •Have knowledge of wine service. •Previous staff training and development experience preferred. •Must have demonstrated leadership qualities. •Experience with decision making and problem solving. Physical Demands: Lifting-Under 20lbs 100% of Work Time Carrying- Over 20lbs 10% of Work Time Pulling- Over 20lbs 10% of Work Time Repetitive environment includes and is not inclusive to talking, bending, stretching and talking. Work environment includes and is not inclusive to variable temperatures, indoor outdoor, noisy, fast paced, deadlines. Employee Benefits •Medical Benefits 100% of prescription reimbursement commences on the first day of the 4th month and Vision Benefits up to $250.00 every two years plus an additional $40.00 per year for eye exam. •Dental Benefits- commences on the first day of the 13th month - up to $1000.00 per year for routine work. •RRSP Program-commences immediately. •Pension Plan-commences on the first day of the 6th month - Hotel matches contributions of 3.2% of gross earnings. •Transfer opportunities within The Fairmont Banff Springs upon completion of minimum commitment and external transfers within Fairmont, Swissotels, and Raffles pending qualifications after 1 year. •Destinations Travel Program and family reduced rates after 3 months of employment at Fairmont, Swissotels, and Raffles. •Employee referral program - up to $350.00 per successful referral that is hired by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. •Discounted golf, ski, fitness, aquatic pass, bike, snowboard and ski rental program. •Free employee canoe pass program. •Complimentary duty meal in the Staff Cafeteria. Rate of Pay: Starting rate of pay: $ 8.80 Per Hour 6th month rate of pay: $ 8.97 Per Hour Grooming Policy: Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a luxury brand; we have certain expectations in our employee’s grooming and appearance. The guiding principles are conservative and professional. Further details will be discussed throughout the interview process. Staff Housing: Our staff accommodation offers two options. 1) Our Tunnel Annex (Single Housing) has small private rooms with a bathroom shared between two adjacent rooms. There are no cooking facilities or appliances included. Please note that there may be a waiting list depending on demand levels. Unit size approximately 120 sq ft. 2) Our other six buildings are shared, dorm-style rooms, open concept with a ¾ wall separating the bedroom area. They can accommodate up to three people, include a private bathroom with a stand up shower, a kitchenette with a fridge, stove, sink and cupboard space. Unit size approximately 392 sq ft. Staff housing is available from $10.77 per day for all full time colleagues who are at least 18 years of age. Other opportunities may exist downtown. Telephone and internet is the responsibility of the occupants.
