| Quality Technician • Ensures implementation of ACL Quality Program requirements at the project level. • Ensures implementation of client Quality requirements at the project level. • Monitors and/or completes field documentation relating to QA/QC activities. • Monitors and/or carries out material receiving and inspection activities. • Oversees third-party project-specific inspection activities. • Develops, implements and maintains project-specific inspection and test plans. • Assists in the development of Quality Start Cards. • Conducts project-specific Quality orientations. • Ensures project management team has latest revisions of drawings, specifications, codes, standards, etc. • Assists in the development of new QA/QC activities. • Monitors construction work for compliance with drawings and specifications. Experience • 5 years related experience in quality and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience within the construction environment is preferred. Education • Post Secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field; studies in Quality Assurance or in Engineering, or a Certificate of Qualification in a trade, an asset. • ISO Lead Internal Quality Auditor an asset Skills, Abilities & Knowledge • Knowledge of the construction and project management field. • General knowledge of construction related technical terms. • Strong attention to detail and blueprint reading skills. • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with excellent follow-up skills. • Excellent organizational, analytical and customer service skills. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and as a team member. • Experience with Project Specifications, Codes, Standards, Acts and Regulations an asset. • General knowledge about ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Systems, audit experience is an asset • Moderate skills in MS Office products – Excel, Word and Outlook. | |
