| Maintenance Associate We currently have an opening for a full-time Maintenance Associate at our facility. We seek a motivated, results-oriented team player with a strong desire to succeed. This position involves completion of maintenance and cleaning related tasks in the laboratories and rest of facility. Currently, this is a Monday and Friday position, 7 am thru 3 pm. Scope • Maintains building by providing housekeeping, moving, and repair services; • Responsible for Preventative Maintenance of lab and safety equipment; • Cleaning of building interior, including but not limited to: o Dusting and wiping down equipment and appliances; o Washing counters, walls, ceilings, and all storage areas; o Washing and storing laboratory glassware as per Standard Operating Procedure; o Cleaning up garbage and non-chemical spills in labs and surrounding areas • Removes trash by emptying trash containers; transporting materials to disposal area; collecting and recycling of materials; • Retrieving supplies and incoming shipments; distribute contents to relevant departments; • Keeps cleaning equipment operational by following Standard Operating Procedure guidelines while maintaining accurate logbook records; • Delivery or pick up of equipment or other relevant supplies; • Ad hoc cleaning and/or maintenance projects as & when requested; • Maintenance of interior and exterior, including but not limited to: o Hanging various items o Small repairs when required o Shifting/moving/delivering items (heavy loads at times) between the various facility units as needed • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing scheduled and delegated tasks. Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Must have a valid Driver’s License. • General knowledge of building maintenance is required. • Must be capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment. • Good verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and within a team. • Strong command of English is essential.
