Manager- Modeling and Analytics

The successful candidate will be a key part of a dynamic, innovative team who supports the central marketing function within the bank through leading-edge analytical and modelling work. The Modelling and Analytics Team develops statistical models, data mining and analytical techniques, and segmentation methodologies to solve a wide array of business problems, including how to drive acquisition, migration and retention strategies across all product areas.

As a Manager, you will be part of a team of analysts working closely with internal partners in marketing and business units, to better understand business opportunities and the end customer. This position requires substantial problem-solving and analytical capabilities, coupled with effective communication and relational skills, that includes an ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. A successful candidate will have experience managing and executing on complex analytical projects from start to finish, involving such approaches as predictive modelling, segmentation, cluster analysis, and data mining. They will also be successful at building strong working relationships, and effectively identifying and managing client requirements and expectations.

This role requires a team player, with the potential for growth as an effective people manager. The role also requires a high attention to detail, a proven track record of the timely delivery of assignments, and an overall dedication to producing high quality work. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated their strong communication and interpersonal skills, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. They will be a self-starter who understands how to effectively work as part of a larger team.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 -7 years relevant experience, ideally within financial services
• Relevant consulting experience a definite asset
• Analytical anchored problem-solving skills, with a solid background working with data and conducting analysis
• Strong project management skills, and technical knowledge of SAS
• A solid team player, with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Well organized, high attention to detail, results-oriented
• Advanced university degree in statistics or analytically-based discipline, or equivalent experience
