| CRM Analyst Purpose of Job: To enhance the customer experience, to increase sales and profits; the CRM Analyst/Modeller applies data analysis and statistical techniques to large data sets to develop predictive models and customer segmentations that address customer relationship marketing (CRM) goals for the Marketing team including: acquisition, upsell, and retention. You will utilize data that is multi-channel (direct mail, web, email) in origin and application. This work will be integrated with overall CRM and data-driven marketing solutions. Key Accountabilities: 1. Data Mining/Statistical Modeling • Develop, implement, and maintain predictive statistical models that score customer behavior using modeling techniques including logistic regression, neural networks, and decision trees. • Understanding of appropriate statistical tests for various analysis situations (correlation, ANOVA, t-test, chi-square, etc.) • Create performance metrics to track and measure the effectiveness of the predictive modeling efforts and marketing actions. 2. Analysis • Market basket, merchandise and store clustering analysis • Analysis of marketing efforts across multiple media and channels • Ability to produce both ad hoc analyses and production-grade analytic jobs that execute autonomously • Customer profiling • Customer segmentation and clustering algorithms Required Skills: • BA/BS minimum, MA/MS/MBA in information technology, statistics, mathematics, market research, marketing or a related field • 3+years of analytical experience in a marketing, retail or financial position • Proficiency in SAS, Access and OLAP reporting tools in a data warehouse environment is highly preferred. SAS EM experience a plus • A strong, demonstrated background in applied statistical analysis, specifically in modeling and target marketing applications. • Specifically, working knowledge of concepts such as, clustering, segmentation time-series (i.e. regression, forecasting), RFM and LTV analysis • Experienced in performing exploratory data analysis, sampling, model validation and data estimation • Ability to develop and implement testing and optimization strategies for continued improvements of results • Knowledge of direct marketing • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word & Excel • Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, a high aptitude for problem solving and a natural interest in understanding and explaining consumer behavior. | |
