| Financial Controller (based in Bermuda) Our client, a group of popular resorts and restaurants in Bermuda, is currently recruiting for the position of Financial Controller to lead a busy Accounts Department The ideal candidate posses the following: • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Accounting • Accounting designation desired • At least 4-5 years Hotel Accounting experience is required at supervisory / managerial level • Experience with fractional development is advantageous • Exposure to ACCPAC and Great Plains is beneficial, as is exposure to Hotel property management systems such as Fidelio or Springer-Miller Main Responsibilities of the position: • Full self-accounting function to Trial Balance • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable • Cash Flow Management • Capital Expenditure Appraisal, Feasibility and Management • Maintaining and Supervising all Food and Beverage Cost Controls as well as Cash Handling Controls • Supervise Night Audit and Income Audit • Supervise weekly and monthly payroll • Actively drive annual Budgeting Process as well as Capital Budgeting process • Weekly, Monthly and Annual reporting of Management Accounts, Cash Flow and Flash reports in accordance with Management needs • Accurate and Successful closing of month-end and year-end • Leading and driving annual external audit, acting as champion • Assisting development team with Fractional Economics, Cash Flow and Related reporting associated with current new Fractional Development Project • Monthly, Quarterly and Annual statutory reporting and remittance of taxes and fees • Representing the company at medium- to high-level meetings with financiers and related parties • Driving the Information Systems and Information Technology of the company in liaison with outside vendors • Administering the company pension fund and health insurance plan | |
