POSITION : Full-time Pre-Board Screening Officers

GARDA is the largest security screening service provider at a number of airports across Canada, ranging from the largest airport to some of the smallest. We work as a public private partnership, to ensure the safety and security of the traveling public.

As a Pre-Board Screening Officer, you play a critical role in the safety and security of the traveling public. We are proud of the commitment and dedication our employees show in this important position of responsibility.

GARDA is hiring Pre-Board Screening Officers for the Edmonton International Airport.

Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older, Canadian Citizens or Landed Immigrant (minimum of 5 years residency);
• High School Graduate (GED accepted);
• Customer Service Oriented;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Ability to work with the public;
• Own transportation;
• Shift work is a requirement;
• Positive attitude, Self motivated, reliable and have a good work ethic;
• Ability to work within a structured environment;
• Excellent communication skills (fluent written and oral English); French is an asset;
• Medical Exam is required);


Uniform, benefits after 30 days, training provided.
Wage rate : $12.94/hour.(as of April 1, 2007)
Increases with certifications according to Union agreement.
