Maitenance Mechanic/Millwright Position: The Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright contributes to the company’s success by installing production equipment, conducting preventative maintenance checks, making packaging and equipment changeovers, diagnosing problems and making repairs and adjustments to equipment and the facility. This is a salaried daytime position but will require some weekends and a flexible work schedule at our facility in Richmond Hill. Key Responsibilities include: • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment • Repair production equipment as needed • Upgrade areas with new equipment/technology; work with outside contractors as required. • Change line for package changeovers • Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner • Follow the direction of Maintenance Supervisor and senior management. • Comply with all QA and regulatory directives. • Keep work area orderly and clean Job Qualifications: • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required • Must be a Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright or have completed an Industrial Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship • Refrigeration certificate an asset • Strong mathematical aptitude required • Experience in the food/packaged goods industry is an asset • Experience in welding an asset • Must be able to lift/carry 50–85 lbs • Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping • Must be able to work overtime as required
