| Health & Safety Specialist The successful candidate will report directly to the President. The role will be responsible for implementing Health & Safety initiatives as part of the company’s ongoing safety program. The position will also be involved with the JHSC and the company’s involvement with the IAPA’s Mississauga Safety Group. Responsibilities • Reviewing the existing Health & Safety program • Implementing additional Health & Safety initiatives • Coordinating the JHSC meetings • Participating in monthly inspections • Training employees in Health & Safety procedures • Updating the corporate WHIMS program • Reviewing the company’s WSIB file • Visiting job sites to ensure proper implementation of Health & Safety procedures • Coordinating the company’s risk management programs • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Post-secondary education in a Health & Safety related field • Minimum three (3) years experience • Knowledge of current safety legislation and WHMIS • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Flexibility to work outside of core hou | |
