| Director, Enterprise Architecture POSITION: Director, Enterprise Architecture REPORTS TO: Chief Information Architect DEPARTMENT: IT LOCATION: Brampton RESPONSIBILITIES: ¨ Analyze enterprise business drivers to determine business information and technical architecture requirements ¨ Analyze current information technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions ¨ Analyze technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the enterprise ¨ Work closely with internal and external constituents to define the overall enterprise architecture ¨ Form an enterprise architecture working group with representation from key technology stakeholders in the company ¨ Sell the architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results ¨ Define the principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise ¨ Design and lead the implementation of enterprise-wide strategic and technical architectures ¨ Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring compliance with the architecture ¨ Oversee technical architecture implementation and modification activities ¨ Oversee the evaluation and selection of hardware and software product standards ¨ Work with application development projects to apply architecture principles and determine when it is necessary to modify the architecture ¨ Work with infrastructure development projects to ensure fit with systems architectures ¨ Identify the organizational impact (skills, proceses, structures, culture) and the financial impact of the enterprise architecture ¨ Document all strategic and technical architecture design and analysis work QUALIFICATIONS: ¨ Minimum 15 years experience in sophisticated, complex technology environments ¨ Bachelor’s degree in computer science. Graduate degree desirable. ¨ Experience in managing large scale change to organizations ¨ Experience managing teams of highly skilled IT professionals ¨ Experience scoping, designing and building enterprise architectures (data, systems, applications) ¨ Experience with application development and complex application integration ¨ Exposure to multiple, technical configurations, technologies and processing environments ¨ Ability to understand the long term “big picture” and balance that with the short term business-driven requirements ¨ Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities and solve complex problems ¨ Ability to work with and manage high speed complexity ¨ Intellectual integrity and motivation by the long term Strong Enterprise Architecture experience Telecommunications experience Has done road mapping for large scale companies application strategies and roadmaps SLA capabilities SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Architectural Governance Worked on large portfolio applications Knowledge of Amdocs (asset) Big asset Strong understanding of software development methodologies [Alex's comments] Service Oriented Architecture strategist eTom, SID, TAM Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Bonus + Car allowance How to Apply for this Role We are seeking expertise with ONLY these qualified skills.
