| Controller - 6 month contract Restaurant Controller - Prestigious Group - 6 Month Maternity Leave Replacement! We have an opportunity in the hospitality industry for a senior level CGA, CMA student or a recent grad in a Controller role. Our client located in Vancouver operates 2 prestigious restaurants in Downtown and is seeking an Analytical Controller to be the safeguard of all financial matters. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the successful candidate will bring several years restaurant/hospitality accounting experience. This is a contract role that has the potential to become permanent! Offering a great team environment and friendly boss. Responsibilities: - Reconcile cash/credit accounting by Cashier - Ensure AR/AP, government remittances are current - Bi-Weekly payroll and timesheets - Cashflow monitoring and reporting - Budget variance analysis - Ensure Corporate Policy adherence by all staff - 6 month audit - Lease control - Intercompany transactions - Oversee internal control systems - Oversee Monthly Food & Beverage and SCGKU inventory counts - Supervision of 4 junior accounting staff Qualifications - Strong Restaurant/Hospitality Accounting experience desired - Excellent English communication skills - Accounting Designation or combination of education and experience - Knowledge of GAAP - Accpac for Windows an asset - High Integrity - Strong Leadership abilities.
