| Purchasing Agent & Traffic Co-ordinator COMPANY PROFILE: An International Packaging Systems Company located in Mississauga. Actively seeking a Purchasing Manager for our North American Division reporting directly to the CFO. BENEFITS: •Full time position •Salary: Starting $55,000 •Benefits include Dental, Medical and life coverage RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to: •Responsible for supply chain process or resale products & parts •Maintain inventory in accordance with company goals •Continually improve initiatives within the supply chain group •Realize the following management target figures: •Inventory turnover of consumable within 60 days (later to 50 days) •Inventory turnover of serial products within 75 days (later to 60 days) •Percentage of slow-movers compare with the inventory value under 10 % •Customer order fulfilment of >90% for A-products with a tolerance of 2 working days •Make recommendations about life cycle of slow movers, where to store resale products, warehouse and service staff to ensure quality of customer service, improvements for the buying process •Informs on monthly base in forecast meetings •Verify all supplier returns, an effective interface between supplier, customer service, traffic and warehouse teams •Oversee the selection with independent carriers •Organize monthly reports re: target figures, quarterly updates, yearend inventory reports •Replenish inventory •Verify loads are shipped on time •Execute process improvements REQUIREMENTS: •Proficient in using e-commerce/information technology •5 + years in a similar role •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with all levels of the organization •Attention to detail and commitment to quality are essential •Proficiency with Microsoft Excel suite is mandatory •Must be able to provide 2 supervisory references Only applicants that fit these criteria will be contacted.
