| Senior Accountant - 6 month contract Attention Senior Accountants! Are you honest? Are you hardworking and dedicated? Are you looking for a position where you would be responsible for the quality of the financial reporting? Well look no further! We have a 6 month contract position for a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility would be to oversee the financial statements and balance sheets of business units that would be assigned. You would also provide guidance and advice regarding efficiencies and processes that help drive improved earnings. Your responsibilities would include: - Preparing monthly financial statements, balance sheet analysis and weekly forecasts of business unit income statements. - Overseeing transactional interfaces to the general ledger from subsidiary ledgers and processing additional adjusting journal entries as required. - Preparing variance analysis and explanations, as needed. - Advising operational staff on efficiencies in administrative and operational processes. Qualifications required: - Completion or near completion of an accredited accounting designation program (CMA, CGA, or CA). - Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in an accounting position. - Strong financial analytical skills required. - Proficient personal computer skills in MS Outlook, and Excel. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
