| Senior PHP Developer Responsibilities • Manage MySQL databases, optimizing data loading techniques and providing data modeling expertise • Manipulate data and log files to provide extensive statistical reporting • Create and maintain PHP scripts • Ensure high level of server and network security • Create and maintain detailed documentation of server and database environment Skills Needed • Extensive experience with MySQL databases including data manipulation and data modeling • Expert Object Oriented PHP programming and SQL programming • Extensive experience with HTML and Javascript • Familiarity with C and/or C++ • Knowledge of AJAX an asset • Web design (Adobe ,Flash) Qualifications • Computer Science/Engineering degree preferred • Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines • Extremely organized, articulate, detail-oriented and comfortable working within a team structure • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Excellent ‘people’ skills and a positive attitude a must. • 3+ years experience of developing database driven web applications, and solid experience in the latest web technologies, including PHP 5, MySQL, XML, Smarty, AJAX and Javascript • Proven team leadership experience is vital, as is an excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle including version control • 2+ years with PHP, MySQL and Javascript is essential with PHP being your most current skill • 3 years experience in developing database driven web applications combining backend database skills with front-end integration. • Familiarity with XML and CVS | |
