Plant Manager / Industrial / Production supervisor Company Profile In business for over 40 years, our client is a privately owned Canadian corporation. Their assets are comprised of two modern manufacturing plants and a network of mineral deposits that extract high quality calcium carbonate, dolomite, quartzite, and granite. Situated by the Rocky Mountains near Creston BC, and on the West Coast in Surrey BC, they are ideally located for clients both in Western Canada and the North Western United States. Responsibilities - Overall responsibility for Quarry, Transportation, Processing, Shipping and Administration - Supervision of all aspects and operating results - Mine planning and reclamation planning on a daily as well as long term basis - Transportation and road access and maintenance - Primary Crusher and rock inventories - Production & Shipping - Unit cost control - Staff supervision and work practices - Recruiting and discipline - Property, plant and equipment projects - Production systems integration with inventory control (automation) and management information systems - Project Management and Oversight - Preparation of bid specifications and packages (as applicable) - Selection and contracting (as applicable) - Ensure safe work practices - Ongoing maintenance and preventative maintenance program - Improvements in unit cost and equipment reliability / utilization - Full knowledge of procedures and specifications - Environmental compliance Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years experience in production management including p/l responsibility, as well as a technical degree, diploma or trade qualification. Any experience in mineral processing would be an asset, including: - Crushing - Screening - Blending - Grinding - Classifying - Dry blending - Wet mixing - Material handling: 1. Pneumatic conveying (dilute and dense phase) 2.
