| Diabetes Nurse Specialist Key member of an integrated Diabetes team that provides training and support to Diabetic clinics, hospitals and ultimately impacts patients who manage their Diabetes through pump therapy. ________________________________________________________________ MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES •Develop and maintain excellent training support and resources for patients on Medtronic Diabetes products (insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring). •Support and complement the sales reps efforts from a clinical perspective. •Train, educate and support health care professionals regarding Medtronic Diabetes technology as this applies to their patients and practice. •Ongoing training of the product trainers in the region. •Participate and contribute as part of the Regional team. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Requirements KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION: •Registered Nurse and licensed in the designated province(s) as applicable. •Good knowledge of Diabetes and Insulin Pump Technology is an asset SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: •Strong organizational and prioritization skills •Able to work independently and in a team environment •Detail oriented and good problem solving capacity •Good training skills-able to train internal staff as needed and healthcare professionals. •Patient training. •Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including strong presentation skills. •Effective and efficient computer skills; Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, word, Outlook) ADDITIONAL: •Certified Diabetes Educator •Able to adapt to and be effective in a dynamic and fast paced environment •Industry related experience •Travel is required. | |
