| Product Engineering Manager Product Engineering Manager • Manages the Product Engineering Group responsible for individual programs. • Manages overall departmental project schedules and assigns resources as required. • Responsible for product design changes to current product, and new product development, while ensuring design integrity and manufacturability. • Monitors product costs including all product changes and new product releases • Provides input into the Departmental budget and salaries • Ensures staff growth and development, develops appropriate training plans and manages performance. • Acts on behalf of Director, Engineering as Product development team leader as required. • Represents Engineering team on technical matters in relations with Customers, existing and new Suppliers, Regulatory Authorities and Industry Standard Associations. Requirements: • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant Industry experience in a Senior Product Design Manager role. • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Eligible for/member of PEO (Professional Engineers of Ontario). • Broad knowledge of Engineering related to gas products, electric products, HVAC products or consumer appliances. • Proven experience with computer aided design and engineering tools such as: CFD (Fluent) and FEA (Ansys) • Highly developed project management and oral and written communication skills. • Advanced engineering technology applied to the development of our products including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, concurrent product development, and design for manufacturability. | |
