Pipeline Engineer (MY CJ)

These roles will be responsible for the following areas:

-Routing of pipeline laterals and cross-country transmission pipelines
-Design of pipeline laterals and cross-country transmission pipelines
-Develop, approve and coordinate work schedules to ensure that objectives of cost, quality and
deadlines are met.
-Create and submit progress and technical reports.
-Write and review specifications and contract documents
-Develop and review pipeline permits and applications, hydraulic modeling of pipelines,
coordinate pipeline land and survey activities.
-Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for
technical accuracy.
-Revise design specifications and suggest alternatives.
-Analyze problems and determine critical factors for investigation
-Develop and maintain positive, sustainable client relationships.
-Coordinate and work with project team members.
-Complete detailed design schedule and prepare design criteria.
-Monitor drafting and design quality
-Supervise design and drafting team
-Maintain group vendor files
-Coordinate all with other disciplines
-Complete model reviews

The successful candidate possesses the following skills and qualifications:

-Intermediate Pipeline Engineers require 5-10 years experience in all aspects of pipeline
engineering with a focus in hydraulics and mechanical design.
-Senior Pipeline Engineers require 10-20 years experience in all aspects of pipeline engineering
with a focus in hydraulics and mechanical design.
-Experience with big inch long distance cross-country pipelines
-Engineering degree and experience in an EPC environment.
-P. Eng. status in Alberta or other equivalent professional status or eligibility for
registration.
-Experience in a supervisory role and in providing technical guidance.
-Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to maintain effective professional working
relationships with clients, government and regulatory bodies.
-Solid written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks.
