| Facility Manager (MY CJ) The Facility Manager has overall responsibility for the operation, maintenance and performance for a large facility, or group of smaller facilities. Overseeing a team of maintenance, technical and support staff, the Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring all service levels are maintained and to initiate value-added solutions to increase service performance levels. MAJOR DUTIES: -Direct all aspects of building operations including maintenance, repairs, and renovations. -Establishes criteria for assessing the quality of work performed by employees and contractors and supervises the completion of work through review of reports; frequent site inspections; and customer satisfaction reviews. -Manage response to emergencies -Managing the preventative maintenance program for all mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment, including HVAC systems, electric motors, pumps, ventilating fans, air conditioning and electrical control units. -Investigates the condition of buildings, equipment and grounds, and recommends improvements in the facilities to ensure that needs are met. -Participates in the screening and hiring of employees, trains, supervises and evaluates performance. -Negotiating vendor agreements, service levels and overall contract initiation and contract management. -Financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and reporting. -Development of capital and repair programs -Responsible for the overall health and safety of the building, occupants, contractors and employees. -Ensure compliance with OH&S and legislated policies, procedures and standards. QUALIFICATIONS: -Post secondary diploma or degree commensurate with property/facility management i.e.: Business, CET, RPA, FMA or an IFMA or REIC designation would be an asset. -Minimum of 5 years related experience with preference in a management or supervisory position. -A proven background in maintaining and managing all building/property operational services utilizing in-house personnel and contracted service providers. -Experience with negotiating contracts and managing contractors for services and project related work. -Demonstrated experience in problem solving skills. -Demonstrated ability to develop and motivate staff. -Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills -A proven understanding of financial requirements in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting (JDE) -Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills complete with good client relations skills and experience dealing with high profile clients and facilities. -Proficient in Microsoft Office | |
