| Construction Project Accounant Construction Project Accountant Due to the commissioning of several major projects our prestigious mining sector client require an experienced Construction Project Accountant to oversee all aspects of project cost reporting for a major construction project. Based in Yellowknife, the successful candidate will be a designated Accountant (CMA, CA, CGA) and will be able to carry out the following duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner; -Develop and implement a chart of accounts for project tracking; -Develop and prepare detailed and summary cost reports for all elements of the construction; -Analyze and report on variances to budget and overall project cost to complete compared to approved spending; -Provide timely narrative report on project progress-to-date; -Produce weekly cash forecast of project payments; -Provide timely forecast of project costs to complete; -Carry out contingency tracking and reporting; -Develop and implement fixed asset sub ledger for entity assets; -Ensure the Company’s internal controls for construction expenditures and related assets are functioning properly, and if necessary, identify any significant weakness or improvements that may be required. This is an important role with significant responsibility and would be best suited to an Accounting professional with previous large construction project experience with a desire to enhance their resume profile and skillset working for one of the regions most respected employers.
