POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE:Senior Software Developer
REPORTS TO:Product Development Manager

WORK WEEK: 37.5 Hours
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time Permanent

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

Reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Senior Software Developer is responsible for advanced design and development of new and existing software to solve complex technical requirements.


KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

Specific areas of responsibility include: coding, testing and debugging of existing or new software under general supervision.



SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

To effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the candidate must be able to complete the following:

•Display solid experience with C# programming languages on Windows platforms, C++ is beneficial as well
•Develop multi-threaded application servers and/or Windows services
•Manipulate .net Web Services
•Exhibit outstanding debugging and investigation skills to ensure errors are caught and handled proactively
•Integrate with other native applications through API, Automation, etc.
•Present a strong sense of ownership of tasks and willingness to drive for a result
•Lead and coordinate with others in a team environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Senior Software Developer must have a diploma/degree in computer science or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of work experience preferably in a software development environment where standard software development concepts, practices and procedures were applied. They must also be knowledgeable in:
•Enterprise Content Management Systems such as Documentum and Livelink
•Strong technical ability and problem solving skills.
•Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
•Good business acumen and a consultative approach to find creative solutions to business requirements
