| Financial Reporting and IFRS Lead Our client a Corporate Head Office in downtown Vancouver requires a Financial Reporting Manager and IFRS Finance Lead! In the Reporting role, responsibilities include the development and interpretation of accounting policies, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and for compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance of policies and procedures through management certification and other processes. The position also oversees all accounting and financial reporting activities related to the corporate Pension Plan. The incumbent is responsible for managing taxes and grants in compliance with laws and regulations, determining appropriate accounting treatment for specialized accounting transactions, and liaising with external auditors on internal and pension audits. As the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Finance Lead, the manager is responsible for working with external advisors and internal stakeholders and leads the planning and execution of the Finance stream of the IFRS project. This position will also be working with partnering organization's IFRS project team to converge the financial accounting and reporting for the organization. You must hold a recognized accounting designation; possess polished presentation abilities and have significant senior level experience managing a team in a large regulated organization.
