| Project Manager Role: The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the overall engineering deliverables for an assigned project, including cost and schedule. Project engineering activities include estimation, planning / scheduling, progress reporting, and coordination. The PM understands the overall direction, priority, and schedules to execute the project and works with various discipline leads for successful solution delivery to the client. Responsibilities: Key accountabilities would include preparation of project plans (project execution plan , design basis memorandums, budgets,manpower, schedules) for engineering deliverables, review quality of drawings, construction work packages (CWPs), write scopes of work for civil, piping, skids and pipe rack modules among others, coordinate CWPs (bill of materials, ISO, scope, layout, instrumentation list, specialty items list), trends, scope changes, design change notice (DCN) / field change notice(FCN), model review and other design reviews; ensuring that all action items are completed as per schedule. Requirements: -Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering (Process / Mechanical / Civil) with P. Eng.; PMP certification will be considered an asset; -15+ years of accomplished experience in engineering and design in the Oil & Gas industry; -Experience in at least one major / large-cap Heavy Oil / SAGD project lifecycle; - Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation, and CAD support; - This is a key leadership position and strategic managerial skills & experience is essential. | |
