Position Description
====================
The Derivatives Processing Confirmation team develops systems to confirm over the counter (OTC) derivative trades, for example Interest Rate Swaps. Our systems enable our users to automatically generate electronic confirms for straight through processing (STP) on Swapswire, DTCC, ICE, EFET and SWIFT. We also provide tools to allow users to manage the complex manual workflow for exotic trades that need to be confirmed by FAX or mail. OTC trades can last for periods in excess of fifty years and this poses particular challenges in terms of data retention and ensuring ongoing system performance as the portfolio of trades increases. Growth of OTC dertivative volumes has historically been greater than 100% per year. We are currently part way through a multi-year renovation of the systems to provide a consolidated confirmation platform spanning Interest Rates, Credit Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives, FX Derivatives and Equity Derivatives. The team is global, with members in London, Budapest, New York and ShangHai Job description This position offers opportunities in systems analysis, software development and project planning. It applies to our OTC derivative processing. Responsibilities: - Design, develop and maintain a set of large financial databases as well as advanced mechanisms to populate them on an automated basis, perform automated QC analysis. - Maintain audit trail of changes. - Create and maintain a data dictionary. - Identify and resolve database problems. - Resolution of Database related Incidents. - Taking ownership of the deployment of database related changes. - Contributing to the evolution of the overall continual service improvement plan. - Data matching, cleaning, conversion and migration. - Work closely with other groups within FID and IT.
