General Description of Role:
1. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the effective functioning of the electrical systems, including installations, for the Calgary Plant

Key Accountabilities:
1. Accountable for the effective functioning of the electrical systems in the plant and for the installation of new equipment
2. Accountable to adhere to and utilize company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations
3. Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors

Skills, Abilities & Qualifications:
1. Must have a valid Provincial Electrical
2. Journeyman Certificate or a recognized interprovincial equivalent
3. Must have a valid Technical Qualification (TQ) Trades ticket
4. Minimum two years experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment
5. Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and manual tools
6. Commercial industrial construction experience an asset
7. Ability to communicate in English both verbally, and in writing

Dimensions:
1. Average Value of Electrical Equipment: $10,000 to $100,000

Working Conditions:
1. Physical Effort: Continuously standing or walking; regular requirement to lift or handle or carry material or equipment of moderate weight
2. Physical Environment: Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and toxic materials that cause periods of extreme discomfort and/or a moderate risk of accident or illness
3. Sensory Attention: Regular need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing, to what is happening
4. Mental Stress: There is some modest pressure from deadlines or other productivity standards; work is somewhat repetitious

Health and Safety:
1. It is the responsibility of workers to work safely and report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions at the work site locations to your ATS Reliance Representative
2. Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety policies, procedures and Legislation
3. All workers are required to complete the New Worker Orientation Material Examination and WHMIS Examination
4. Candidates will be required to provide own Steel Toed Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Certified Safety Boots if required
5. Workers must wear and use required Personal Protective Equipment while on-site at all times
