Piping Material Management

- Knowledge of piping materials and valving for use in the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Experience with the use of piping line classes and piping specifications
- Ability to produce material take-offs for piping bulks to support estimating
- Ability to manage material quantities from estimate to final MTO.
- Experience with producing requisitions to support purchasing of piping materials.
- Experience with completing Technical Bid Evaluations to support order placement
- Ability to determine testing and inspection requirements for piping materials.
- Experience in change control related to material bulk requirements
- Some experience with determining design and construction allowances for material quantities.


Qualifications:

- Minimum of a technical diploma in mechanical or piping engineering
- 10 years of experience in an EPC environment
- Minimum 5 yrs experience in the design of piping systems
- Minimum 5 years experience in controlling material quantities on large scale projects
- Experience with the use of an in house material management system, or Marian.
- Some exposure to the use of the PDS/PDMS design systems.
